Mon. Continued Jan. 7 We all loaded onto the bus about 7:20 AM and headed off to breakfast. The ride was a little slower because of an accident but it didn’t look as if anyone was injured. We were thankful for that. The traffic is something else with 3 million plus in San Jose. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, rice and beans, tortillas, pineapple and papaya. Nola and Marj flew in last night and now part of the team. We left for our work location at the orphanage. We spent the morning setting up and getting ready. The bus picked us up for lunch. Since
the medical team was eating at their location our dining hall was rather empty and we missed them. The bus took us back to the orphanage and VBS started about 2:30 PM. We had music and taught the kids “Jesus Loves Me.” We then had a puppet show. The Bible lesson was about baby Moses and how God will take care of us. The kids colored, played with stickers, did cutouts and made a bookmark. We had about 12 helpers. I think everyone enjoyed themselves but we had to keep on our toes. On our way home we saw a beautiful rainbow. Michele H.
