Dedicated to journaling our work mission trip to Costa Rica sponsored by the Iowa Conference Volunteers in Mission of the United Methodist Church. A place for us to share our excitement, prayers, anticipation, and anything else God puts on our hearts.
Continue praying for the team, for the people with whom we will work, play and worship with in Costa Rica, safe travels and for those we leave at home. God goes before us and will walk with us!

DAY 4 MEDICAL TEAM

Jan. 8 Medical Team Jody and Charlie managed to get their hair cut. Charlie looks good with his hair spiked. Over 70 people were seen today many with colds and coughs. Bev made a trip to the Farmacia for meds. At lunch time we were requested to sit down and then we were served prepared by Pastor Edgar, wife, Norma. After the work of the day was complete we were brought plantains and coffee. More people were at the clinic today and it was found that most do not have a decent diet. We treated mostly parasitic problems today. The most frustrating thing that we are finding is medical problems that we are not able to treat. Jody S.
